Greenough Named Finalist for SABRE Award from the Holmes Group
Agency’s Campaign for Shure Recognized as Among Best in Consumer Electronics Category
Boston, MA, May 27, 2008 The Holmes Group named Greenough Communications a finalist for a SABRE Award, marking the fifth consecutive year that the company has been considered for the prestigious honor. The SABRE Awards are regarded as the premier PR awards globally, and each year Greenough ranks among the biggest and best brands in consumer electronics, technology and professional services firms in the hunt for the gold. This year, the company’s product launch campaign for Shure’s Music Phone Adapter (MPA) put it in the running alongside HP, Tivo and Toshiba for best consumer electronics campaign of the year.
In the highly successful campaign, Shure and the Greenough team seized upon the launch of Apple’s long-anticipated iPhone as an opportunity to introduce Shure’s MPA, a microphone that can be used as a mobile-phone accessory. The PR team developed an announcement strategy that built upon Apple’s momentum and clearly positioned Shure as the de facto standard for accessories that deliver a premium communications experience.
“Regardless of industry, whether it’s green technology, IT or consumer electronics, a well-executed product launch requires a deep familiarity with the category, creativity and the ability to tell a story that plays well to the social and traditional editorial agenda,” said Laureen McGowan, Executive Vice President of Greenough Communications. “Our success with the Shure campaign, as recognized by the SABRE nod, results directly from our ability to consistently speak the right language and to live where Shure’s consumers are living. That approach is at the heart of all of our campaigns from design to implementation.”
