A founding member of Greenough Communications with more than a decade of domestic and international communications experience, Laureen McGowan has provided strategic counsel to a variety of companies in the information technology, telecommunications, consumer electronics, professional services and education markets. Laureen has helped build successful communications campaigns for clients such as Sonus Networks, Shure Audio Electronics, Qwest, Stanford University, Lexmark and Raindance.
An expert in business and financial media relations, Laureen is adept at helping publicly-held companies plan and execute strategies that broaden their awareness with financial journalists and, as a result, their investor support. Laureen has experience at developing communications strategies for corporate earnings, M&A's, and restructurings, and has secured broadcast appearances and business media coverage in some of the most influential media outlets, including: The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg, The New York Times, CNNfn and Investor's Business Daily
Laureen has also implemented high-profile, issues-driven programs such as the Recording Industry Association of America's anti-piracy and copyright awareness efforts. Her work with the organization was recognized with a Bronze Anvil for Excellence, one of numerous awards she has received for creativity and excellence in media relations.
Laureen is a magna cum laude graduate of Syracuse University's SI Newhouse School of Public Communications.
